What materials are used in your jewellery?
All Everyday Muses pieces are made with high quality stainless steel. Stainless steel was chosen because as is highly durable and hypoallergenic that’s suitable for sensitive skin. It also will not rust or tarnish like copper or brass.
Gold pated vs PVD coated?
As the name suggests, gold plating is a thin layer of gold on top of another metal (typically brass or copper) to create the look of solid gold, but at the fraction of the cost. There are different levels to gold plating from 10ct all the way up to 18k+. The higher the number, the higher the percentage of real gold. The problem is that with gold plating, no matter how much real gold is used, it will fade over time. Gold is also incredibly soft, meaning more scratches.
Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) is a vacuum coating process that creates a highly durable finish without comprising the design of the jewellery. This modern process makes jewellery up to x10 stronger than traditional gold plating and also makes it waterproof. It is low maintenance and suitable for every day wear without tarnishing. Plus, it is kinder to our planet
